HDB launches 4,993 flats in August 2022 BTO launch
HDB has announced that it will launch a new Build-To-Order (BTO) project in August 2022, offering 4,993 flats for sale. HDB also stated that the potential landslide damage near the Clementi BTO project would unlikely delay the collection of keys for the project.
Types of Flats Available
The 4,993 flats that will be available include units from both the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and HDB. This launch consists of 1,753 flats from the URA and 3,240 flats from HDB. The URA flats range from two-room to four-room types, while the HDB flats range from two-room flexi to five-room types. Over two-thirds of these flats are two-room flexi and three-room flats.
Covid Precautions
Due to the ongoing pandemic, HDB has taken the necessary measures to ensure the safety of home buyers. Starting 8 June 2021, home buyers will be able to submit their applications online at the HDB resale portal. In addition, HDB has also implemented additional safety measures such as restrictions on the number of applicants per application.

Last year, a minor landslide occurred near the Clementi BTO project. Despite this, HDB has assured home owners that key collection for the project will still proceed as planned. Residents of the Clementi project, who had been unsure of the implications of the landslip, are thus relieved that the potential delays to their key collection have been avoided. The project was launched on 19th November 2019 and is due for completion in August 2024.
HDB has launched a total of 33,772 BTO flats in 2021, of which 18,905 flats have been launched in the first four months of 2021. Of these flats, 11,539 flats will be available in non-mature estates and 7,366 flats in mature estates.
HDB also reiterated its commitment in supporting Singaporeans with their housing needs by increasing the supply of flats in the August 2022 launch. These flats will be available at various locations including Bukit Batok, Tengah, Choa Chu Kang, and Sembawang.
